Algerian Pres. assigns Abdulmalek Sallal as PM


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Algerian President Abdulaziz Bouteflika, who was sworn in as president for a fourth term earlier Monday, assigned Abdulmalek Sallal as Prime Minister. "President Bouteflika assigned Abdulmalek Sallal as Prime Minister," a statement by the presidency said. Sallal will be replacing Yusuf Yusufi, who was acting prime minister. The new government is expected within days. Bouteflika won the April 17 presidential elections with 81.53 percent of votes.
