the alarm set off at 2am on sunday alerting the operations room of the burglary.

police officials told khaleej times that the moment the burglar approached the premises of the exchange and breached the security system the alarm sent a prompt to the police control room that dispatched an anjad patrol to the site immediately.

on reaching the exchange the thief who only searched the exchange and found nothing fled the scene. the police managed to identify him as an asian and are making efforts to arrest him before he commits another theft.

an employee of the exchange said the thief searched the premises for cash but was unable to find anything.
