Vietnam farm exports to hit USD9.69 in 2014


(MENAFN) A report by Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) said that the country is forecasted to make USD9.69 billion from farm exports in the January-April period of 2014, Xinhua reported. The report said that the country is most probably to ship agro-forestry- fishery products worth USD2.63 billion in the month of April alone. Vietnam's export revenue of major agricultural products such as rice, coffee, and rubber among others is projected to reach USD4.74 billion in the first four months of 2014, increasing 5.8 percent compared to the same period of 2013. The country's seafood exports revenue is also expected to hit USD2.22 billion, with an increase of 31.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
