OIC chief meets Oman officials


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Madani met Sunday with Oman's Deputy Prime Minister Fahd bin Mahmoud Al-Said and Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah separately. Madani said in a statement his visit to the Sultanate came to thank Sultan Qaboos bin Said and leaderships of Oman for supporting his appointment as secretary-general of the organization. During their meetings, they discussed challenges faced by the Muslim world regarding Al-Aqsa Mosque, the situation in Syria, northern Mali and Central Africa Republic as well as the situation in Myanmar and all other areas facing political challenges. The OIC chief arrived in Oman on Saturday in a two-day visit.
