UAE- Holy Mosque imam visits Dar Al Ber headquarters


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The dar al ber society has become a role model in islamic charitable humanitarian and relief activities in the world.

this was affirmed by dr sheikh abdul rahman al sudais chairman of the two holy mosques affairs in holy cities makkah and madinah during his visit to the headquarters of the society in dubai on thursday.

“the uae’s prudent leadership board council of the dubai award for world peace department of islamic affairs and charitable activities in dubai and all charitable societies particularly dar al ber spare no effort to spread the tolerant message of islam” said sheikh sudais.

millions of people across the globe have benefited from the financial and spiritual support being provided by the charitable humanitarian and relief departments and associations in the uae he added.

the imam of the holy mosque in makkah was accompanied by a high-profile delegation including dr hamad al shaibani chairman of the mohammed bin rashid award for world peace (mrawp); butti bin mejren deputy chairman of the dubai international peace convention; dr aziz al anzi director of the dawa centre in dubai along with the mrawp board members.

sheikh sudais said the great achievements and quantum projects undertaken by the dar al ber society do reflect an outstanding dedication to the service of islam.

“dar al ber has built tens of mosques dug hundreds of water wells sponsored thousands of orphans and helped millions of poor and productive families worldwide.” dar al ber has further encouraged the memorisation and recitation of the holy quran he noted. “thousands have converted to islam with the help of the staff preachers and scholars here who tirelessly call for islam in the best wisest and most persuasive ways that respect man’s body and soul passion and logic alike.”

khalfan khalifa al mazrouie chairman of the dar al ber society (dbs); abdul qader al rays director-general of das; abdullah bin zayed executive director of das; mohammed suhail al muhairi head of the local affairs sector; managers of other sectors and staff members of the society welcomed the honorable guests. the delegation was escorted on a tour of the new headquarters and briefed on all activities of the society its 35-year history and the awards won. the delegation also had a look into the publications of the society and four sizes of the holy quran of which six million have been printed so far. they were also briefed on the courses and lectures organised for new muslims.

a memento and a copy of the holy quran were then gifted to sheikh sudais who in turn presented the society with a plaque of the holy kaaba and the standing place of prophet abraham.
