(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Alrai Media Group Co. has gained KD 975.4 (USD 3.4 million) in net profits for the first quarter of 2014; 4.26 fils per share.
The 1Q profits were announced by Alrai Media Group Co. Chairman Jassem Boodai in a press statement here on Sunday.
The group has continued its operating profits and boosted its market quota, he said, adding that the company's revenues hit KD 4 million.
The group is currently investing in several program and drama products for the next holy month of Ramadan, something which is predicted to raise the company's revenues for the coming period, he pointed out.
Alrai Media Group Co. is a Kuwaiti shareholding company and is considered to be the first company of its kind covering the written and the Audio visual segments.
Established in 2002, Alrai Media Group publishes a political and comprehensive Arabic newspaper Alrai which is currently a major daily newspaper in Kuwait.
