Kuwaiti lawmakers arrive in Turkey


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwaiti lawmakers from the Kuwaiti-Turkish Friendship Committee arrived in Ankara on Sunday to bolster bilateral cooperation in political and parliamentary fields, as well as education, health and sports. The two-day visit will include a series of meetings with Turkish officials, most notably Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek to discuss cooperation between the two houses, Chairman of the committee MP Faisal Al-Shaye told KUNA. Al-Shaye added that lawmakers will hold sessions on developments within the committee, and discuss aspects of cooperation in areas of mutual interest, expressing hope that such visit will open new horizons for bilateral parliamentary cooperation. The delegation will also meet the Turkish Minister of Youth and Sports Akif Cagatay Kilic to discuss cooperation between the two countries, as well as meeting officials from the Turkish Ministry of Health to discuss the possibility of health cooperation, training, including the possibility of dispatching patients with medical conditions for treatment in Turkish hospitals. The Kuwaiti delegation also includes MPs Abdullah Al-Turaiji, Mubarak Al-Haris, and MP Oudah Al-Rowaie.
