Pakistan- CDA launches online monitoring system

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has introduced an online system to monitor the working of its field staff in Pakistani federal capital city Islamabad. The move will improve the vigilance and job performance of the employees working with the enforcement, building control, health and municipal administration directorates. The project has been launched in collaboration with a cellular company and in the initial phase 30 mobile sets have been provided to the CDA. The cellular company will provide a maximum of 80 sets to the civic body. "The companies have social development funds and we approached them for a technical solution to the problem of ensuring monitoring of the field staff," CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal confirmed when contacted. The new system involves tailor-made mobile sets with SIMs which can only be used as a two-way communication with the commuters. The same issue has been faced in the sanitation department where cleaners do not go to the site and the environment department whose gardeners were careless in executing duties in the peripheral areas.
