IOE Secretary General Praises Labor Rights Efforts in Qatar


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Doha April 27 - The International Orgaisation of Employers (IOE) Secretary General Brent Wilton has praised the tireless efforts being made by the State of Qatar in the field of labor rights.

The State of Qatar has a story to tell with regard to what they are doing in the area of labor rights in particular providing very good conditions for them said Wilton adding that this story must be recognized by everyone.

In remarks he made on the sidelines of his visit to the labors' city project ( Barwa- Al Baraha) Brent Wilton emphazised the need for establishing more similar initiatives as well as closer communication with international bodies and organisations so it is clear for everyone that Qatar is on the right track with regard to labors' rights.

He expressed IOE's readiness to interact closely with the Qatari side to shed light on the efforts of the State of Qatar in this area in order to refute the concerns of many foreign parties.

Wilton said that the project of Barwa - Al Baraha is a source of pride adding that more similar projects must be done so that a lot of people would get to know the opportunities provided for the workers by the State of Qatar.

The IOE Secretary General said all the indicators are telling that the overall situation in the state is very good but the questions which arise now are how many more buildings can be constructed? how long will the construction process take in order to refute the subjects of controversy?. (MORE)
