S. Korea's electricity consumption up 5 percent in March


(MENAFN) South Korea's consumption of electricity in industrial sector boosted by 5 percent in March compared to the same period 2013, according to Qatar News Agency. South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said that the industrial sector consumed 23.28 billion kilowatt-hours, or 5.6 percent higher than the same month last year. The Ministry said: "The rise in overall electricity use despite a drop in electricity consumption for heating can be attributed to the country's growing exports."
