(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) hailed on Saturday the agreement signed between Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Hamas to implement national reconciliation based on Makkah, Cairo and Doha Declaration.
In a press statement, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Ameen Madani said that the agreement constitutes a basic foundation and an important step towards the restoration of Palestinian people's unity.
He added that the agreement is urgent for protecting the interests of Palestinian people against Israeli threats.
OIC Secretary General called on the international community to support the efforts of the Palestinian national reconciliation to promote of peace and stability.
