Iraqi official shot dead N. Iraq
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) A governing council member of Iraq's northern Salah Ad-Deen Province and two of his bodyguards were shot dead, Iraqi police said on Saturday.
The convoy of Fayeq Thiyab was targeted by unidentified gunmen as it was travelling south of the province.
Thiyab's son was also injured in the attack, and was subsequently taken to hospital.
