Jordan Prime Minister Receives Call from Haniyyeh


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Amman April 26 - Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour has received a telephone call form Prime Minister of the defunct Palestinian government Ismail Haniyyeh during which he was briefed on the details of the reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas movements.

A Jordanian government statement said during the contact Ensour expressed the hope that reconciliation would be successful to serve the unity of the Palestinian people and the attainment of the Palestinian rights foremost of which being the establishment of the independent Palestinian state on a border based on the pre-1967 Green Line with east Jerusalem as its capital.

The Jordanian Prime Minister confirmed during a visit he paid last Wednesday to Ramallah Jordan's support for the Palestinian talks in the context of the Palestinian national reconciliation.
