China's BYD net profits plummets 89 percent


(MENAFN) China's carmaker BYD Co, said that net profit in the first quarter decreased when compared to a year earlier, Xinhua reported. The firm said that net profit plunged 89.35 percent hitting USD1.91 million in the period. The carmaker's revenue during the quarter declined 9 percent on an annual basis to reach USD1.89 billion. The company said that shrinking market share in the traditional auto market led to the poor performance.
