(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Ramallah April 25 - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has met with Uruguayan Minister of Foreign Affairs Luis Almagro.
Palestinian news agency Wafa News said that Abbas briefed the Uruguayan official on the latest developments of peace negotiations with Israel. Abbas restated Palestine's commitment to a fair and comprehensive peace based on the borders of June 4 1967. He also said that the Palestinian reconciliation will be a step forward towards establishing that peace.
The Palestinian President also expressed his appreciation to Uruguay's support of the Palestinian cause. For his part Almagro congratulated Abbas on achieving a national reconciliation stressing Uruguay's backing to the move. He also expressed his administration's keenness on enhancing bilateral relations.
