China to issue five-year treasury bonds


(MENAFN) The Chinese Ministry of Finance announced that the country is going to issue a five-year 29 billion yuan (USD4.7 billion) book-entry treasury bonds, Xinhua reported. According to the Ministry, this is the eighth book-entry treasury bond issuance in 2014. The bonds' interest rate is fixed at 4.04 percent. Interests will be due on April 24 annually, while last year's interest and the principal will both be due upon maturity on April 24, 2019. According to the statement, the bonds will continue to be sold on the inter-bank bond market until April 28, while on April 28 they will become tradable.
