(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) oul April 24 - The nation's gross domestic product saw a growth of 3.9 % compared to the same period last year making it the highest quarterly growth to be posted in three years the Bank of Korea released the figures on Thursday. Maintaining last year's growth trend the nation's economy grew nine-tenths of a % in the first quarter from the previous quarter according to Korea's (KBS WORLD) website. Quarterly economic growth stood at the zero % range for eight straight quarters before standing at one % in the second quarter and 1.1 % in the third quarter of last year. However the nation's gross domestic income growth fell to seven-tenth of a % in the first quarter from eight-tenths of a % posted in the fourth quarter of last year due to slightly aggravated trade conditions. The central bank said this quarter's economic growth stood within its projected range.
