(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Educate A Child (EAC), a global programme based in Qatar, has signed a grant agreement with 'imagine1day' a global community of people making passionate contributions to ensure every child in Ethiopia receives a quality education.
The partnership is focused on enrolling over 28,000 children in primary school in two districts within Ethiopia's southern Bale Zone; Dello Mena and Meda Welabu.
Through the partnership, imagine1day will increase access to early childhood and primary education through the construction of 11 new primary schools.
They will also supply teaching materials and training to improve the teaching-learning process, broaden the curriculum, encourage extra-curricular school activities, and enhance the level of students' life skills.
Parent Teacher Associations and principles will be trained to support the enrolment of children and their continued school attendance.
Launched and founded in 2012 by H H Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, EAC promotes and facilitates access to primary education in regions suffering from conditions such as poverty, conflict discrimination or natural disaster.

Through a focused strategy and a commitment to building the leadership and technical capacity of key stakeholders, we will create systemic and lasting results in 103 pastoralist communities in Ethiopia's Bale Zone."
