15th Convention of GCC Artifacts History Society Opens in Kuwait


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) wait April 23 -Kuwait hosted on Wednesday the 15th convention of the GCC artifacts and history society .The event is being held under the sponsorship of Information Minister and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah a ranking Kuwaiti official said. "The meeting derives its significance from centuries-old historic and scientific milestones of the area which comes as a reflection of engrained communication among its civilizations and peoples" said Secretary General of the National Council for Culture Arts and Letters (NCCAL) Ali Al-Youha during the opening ceremony. The NCCAL is hosting the event which goes under the theme (Gulf countries - History and affect throughout the ages." "Such celebration of civilization and heritage is seen in Kuwait as a well-seated platform to envisage the future" Al-Youha added pointing out that the convention will include a number of sessions run by academics and experts in the fields of history and artifacts which would contribute in unveiling different layers of the area's incremental history.
