EU consumer confidence indicator up in April


(MENAFN) The Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN) of the European Commission said that the consumer confidence indicator increased in both the EU and the euro area, Xinhua reported. The DG ECFIN said that consumer confidence in the EU increased by 0.8 points to -5.8, while in the euro area it increased by 0.6 percent to -8.7 percent. The DG ECFIN's Economic Sentiment Indicator increased last month by 1.2 points in the euro area, hitting 102.4, but gaining marginally in EU with an increase of 0.3 points to 105.3.
