Qatar- Kenyan President Visits New Port Project


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) ha April 22 - Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday visited the new port project in Mesaieed where he was received by the project's manager Nabil Al-Buainain. At the beginning of the visit the president and the accompanying delegation listened to a presentation on the project's work progress and vital services it offers. After that he was accompanied on a tour around the project by HE Minister of Culture Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari HE Qatar's Ambassador to Nairobi Ibrahim bin Mohammed Abdulrahman Al-Abdullah and HE Kenyan Ambassador to Doha Galma Mukhe Boru. The president expressed his admiration of the project that comes as part of the comprehensive renaissance in Qatar on all fronts. The new port project extending over 26.5 km features three sections; the new port Emiri naval forces base and an artificial channel for the economic zone. Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta arrived in Doha on Monday evening for a state visit to Qatar.
