(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) ha April 22 - Qatar Petroleum's Security Management System has been successfully certified to ISO 28000 standard making QP the first company in Qatar and among the first few in the world to receive certification to this international standard. According to the International Organization for Standardization ISO 28000:2007 standard specifies the requirements for a security management system including those aspects critical to security assurance of the supply chain said a press release QP issued here Tuesday. The Geneva-based organization explains that security management is linked to many other aspects of business management including all activities that impact on supply chain security. QP's successful certification to the ISO 28000 standard has been made possible through the determined efforts of its employees joint venture partners and contractors who all contribute in boosting QP's image as a world-class organization.
