Playing Legend to Become Manchester United Interim Manager


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) nchester April 22 - Manchester legend Ryan Giggs will replace the sacked David Moyes as Manchester United manager until the end of the season the club have confirmed Tuesday. The club announced earlier today that they have sacked David Moyes after the team's 0-2 loss to Everton Moyes' former team. The new manager Giggs has played for Manchester United for 23 years representing the team in a record 923 matches. He is only set to take over for a transitional period however as the club begins a search for a new manager. Moyes was chosen by former manager Sir Alex Ferguson as the manager to lead Manchester United this season. However Manchester have underperformed this season going down to seventh this season after they were champions last season. They were also knocked out of the Champions League quarter finals at the hands of Bayern Munich.
