India to supply Iran with steel for railroad project


(MENAFN) India"s biggest steelmaker SAIL has recently announced its plan to provide steel worth USD247.88 crore through an agreement to help Iran build a railroad network in Tehran, according to Iran Daily. The agreement is expected to be signed this week after a visit by an Indian delegation to Tehran. Iran had sought Indian investment for expanding its railroad network and needs about 3 million tons of steel rails to connect all major cities, industrial centers and also ports for faster evacuation of goods.
