At Least 12 Taliban Militants Killed in Afghanistan

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) bul April 22 - At least 12 Taliban militants were killed in joint operations launched by Afghan security forces and the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF) during the past twenty-four hours in different regions of the country. Afghanistan's Interior Ministry said in a statement today that Afghan forces carried out with ISAF several joint operations in different regions of the country killing 12 Taliban militants injuring nine others and arresting three others. The statement added that the security forces seized large quantities of heavy and light weapons. However the statement did not say if there were any casualties on the security forces.
