US businesses see higher material costs in Q1


(MENAFN) The National Association of Business Economics reported that materials and labor appear have been significantly affected by the rising costs of them, according to Arab News. A survey showed that 31 percent of businesses reported higher material costs in the first quarter of the current year, while other 35 percent reported rising wages and salaries. The survey findings said: "It appears that businesses were not able to pass on costs increases, resulting in increased pressure on margins."
