URC Sponsors INJAZ-Kuwaits Company Program in Marina Mall

(MENAFNEditorial) Kuwait April 22, 2014 – United Real Estate Company (URC), one of the MENA region's leading real estate developers announces its sponsorship of INJAZ-Kuwait's Company Program in Marina Mall, Kuwait for the sixth consecutive year. INJAZ-Kuwait's Company Program extends entrepreneurship and leadership learning for high school students. The program is promoted in URC's Marina Mall in Salmiya for 30 days where approximately 450 students from local schools participate. Executive Vice President of URC, Renimah Al Mattar said, "URC's sponsorship of INJAZ-Kuwait's Company Program is in-line with URC's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program where education is a key CSR driver. URC's sponsorship aims to enable and inspire students to move forward with their professional careers. URC is committed to supporting organizations that strive to promote hands on work experience." As part of the Company Program, the students are split into 22 groups with 15 to 20 students per group. Each group is assigned one day to showcase and sell their products or services to the public, starting from 5pm to 10pm on weekdays and from 10am to 10pm on weekends. The Company Program mentors students to come up with a business idea, study its feasibility, sell stocks to raise capital, structure the team, develop a business plan and produce and sell their product or service. Some of the program's objectives include developing leadership and interpersonal skills for running a business, and enhancing communication as well as time management skills. INJAZ-Kuwait's CEO, Rana Abdullah Al Nibari commented on this, saying, "We are pleased to have URC sponsoring INJAZ-Kuwait's Company Program initiative for the 6th consecutive year. We believe the entrepreneurial experience that the students are learning, by having a booth at Marina Mall, is one of great importance to them. We are striving to teach the students the skills and expertise of running a business in all aspects, and with the support of URC we are able to do so." INJAZ-Kuwait's Company Program started in 2005 with 305 students and has grown to reach 2,957 students since. INJAZ-Kuwait embarked on the US version of the program and has since localized it in Kuwait. URC's continued support of INJAZ-Kuwait's programs is part of the company's long term strategy of supporting youth programs.
