Oman- MSM30 slips amid moderate activity

(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Monday's trading was characterised by moderate activity. Except for Bank Sohar's initial results, the market did not register interesting activity. The MSM30 ended the session down 0.09 per cent at 6,834.81, with trading remaining weak in terms of volumes and values.

OIFC continued to attract investor attention, as it topped both the value and volume lists. The company owns a major stake in Bank Sohar.

Investment and holding companies were also in focus.

The Industrial index declined 0.47 per cent, while the Financial index lost 0.12 per cent. The Services index ended flat.  

Among the top gainers were National Gas (+3.67%), Construction Materials Ind (+1.59%) and Bank Sohar (+1.27%), while Sweets of Oman (-4%), Salalah Mills (-4%) and Al Madina Investment (-3.25%) lost the most.
