(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Gulf Air's newly launched Falcon Gold Class amenity bags have won the TravelPlus 2013 Airline Amenity Bag Awards in the category of Business Class Middle East Unisex amenity bag.

Gulf Air's amenity bag, unveiled in November 2013, was specifically designed by Chopard, the Swiss-based luxury products and accessories company, for the national carrier's long-haul Falcon Gold Class travellers. Gulf Air acting chief commercial officer, Ahmed Janahi said, ''We are very excited to have our newly-launched amenity bags recognised by TravelPlus in this awards category. ''The Gulf Air amenity bags are a tool to help ensure our passengers have the best inflight experience, enhancing onboard comfort and meeting passenger needs while providing an element of indulgence at over 30,000ft.

Industry recognition of one of our newest onboard products is a testament to Gulf Air's longstanding commitment to being an industry leader and developing products and services that reflect the evolving needs and aspirations of our passengers. We look forward to continuing to offer our passengers superior onboard products and services that cater to their needs.''

The Gulf Air amenity bag features signature products such as Chopard facial spray, lip balm and moisturising body cream. In addition to the Chopard products, the bag also includes eyeshades, socks, a dental kit, mouthwash and earplugs. The amenity bags are available on all long-haul Gulf Air flights for its Falcon Gold Class passengers. The annual TravelPlus Awards recognise those airlines which offer outstanding customer service by presenting passengers with a range of high quality onboard kits.

The awards celebrate the best onboard comfort and hospitality products in the airline industry and the innovation, creativity and design of both the airlines and their onboard suppliers. With 20 categories and over 120 submissions, entries were judged completely from a traveller's perspective.
