(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) BankDhofar recently supported a cultural event at Bahr al Arab School in Duqm as part of its continuous endeavour to aid and encourage investment in the community.

The event was held under the patronage of H E Sheikh Mohsin bin Hamed al Maskri, Wali of Duqm, and was attended by several officials, including those from BankDhofar. As a staunch advocate of community development and corporate social responsibility (CSR), BankDhofar's support to the event gave much-needed fillip to encouraging local talent. ''Our role as a leader in CSR initiatives involves extending support to such events that help showcase and preserve Omani heritage.

Events such as these are crucial to educate the young generation about the rich traditions of our culture,'' said Ahmed Said al Ibrahim, DGM “ government banking and branding, BankDhofar. The event involved camel shows, Taghroud shows, dance and poetry recitations. Students performed traditional dances such as Razha and Baraa, which are unique to Oman. Salam bin Sakat al Janibi, member, Shura Council and chief of the event's organising committee, lauded the efforts and cooperation from the Directorate of Education in making the evening a success.

The event reflected BankDhofar's five-year strategy to develop sustainable CSR measures that support local communities and promote traditional Omani art, culture and heritage. The bank has been launching several initiatives in various fields across different regions in the sultanate. BankDhofar's Duqm branch, positioned strategically for members of the community, was recently inaugurated.

All branches welcome customers and offer the same services and standards in a consistent manner, ensuring customers, regardless of their main branch, are treated with same hospitality. Customers can also enjoy speedy processing of personal and car loans with competitive pricing for different segments. Housing loans can also be obtained within a short period of time. This is all in addition to a highly competitive savings scheme programme where customers win on a daily and weekly basis.<
