China to boost urbanization reform


(MENAFN) China is planning to boost reforms in the management of population data, land, funding guarantees, housing and environmental protection in a bid to push the urbanization process, Xinhua reported. China's top economic planner said that the rate of urbanization in the country has caused problems, such as such as huge population transfer from rural to urban areas and low efficiency in urban land use. The country's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) is set to boost reforms in the management system for population, land, capital, housing and ecology so China can improve the urbanization path. Such reforms include work in population management to accelerate household registration system and improve basic public services.
