Saudi Kingdom Holding profit up 14.8 percent

(MENAFN) Saudi-based Kingdom Holding announced a net profit increase of 14.8 percent in the January-March period of this year, Arabian Business reported. The firm said that its net earnings in the period hit USD33.8 million, increasing from USD29.3 million in the year-ago period. The investment company said that the increase in net profit was due to an ""increase in gain on investments despite the decrease in dividends income and increase in loss from associate and finance charges." Kingdom Holding has minority stakes in some of the world's top companies, including Rupert Murdoch's News Corp and Twitter.
