(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The taleban interlocutor said that despite refusing to extend ceasefire the taleban militants were still open to talks with the government.
member of the taleban-appointed team professor ibrahim on sunday said that the taleban nominated committee would meet the government team soon to discuss the dialogue process.
talking to a private tv channel professor ibrahim said that no date for the long-awaited meeting has been finalised as yet however both committees intended to meet in near future.
professor ibrahim who is also a leader of the jamaat-e-islami said he has had no direct contact with the taleban leadership since a long time.

ibrahim said the reservations of the taleban militants would be presented before the government authorities. he further said that for the success of the dialogue an extension in the ceasefire was necessary.
the jamaat-e-islami leader said that efforts were being made to contact taleban leadership and convince them for a ceasefire but the process was facing hurdles.
the jamaat-e-islami leader said a number of complaints from the taleban side had come forward via the media adding that the ttp’s concerns should be addressed.
he said that contacts should continue between the two sides which could soon lead to a resolution. — online
