Malaysian Plane Makes Emergency Landing


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) ala Lumpur April 21 - A Bangalore-bound Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH192 was forced to turn back to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) last night after it was discovered that a tyre had burst during takeoff at Sepang. MAS Media Relations Strategic Communication manager Khairunnisak Dzun Nurin said the captain was alerted by the Kuala Lumpur Air Traffic Control that tyre debris were found on the runway and immediately contacted Malaysia Airlines Operations Control Centre (OCC). "As safety is of utmost priority to Malaysia Airlines the aircraft was required to turn back to KLIA (Bernama) news agency reported. "The Airport Fire Rescue Services (AFRS) were deployed as soon as the pilot was instructed to turn back to KLIA by OCC" she said in a media statement Monday. The aircraft landed safely and all 159 passengers and seven crew on board have disembarked.
