(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Ahlibank, a premium financial institution in the sultanate, supported the College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS) Open Day, as a silver sponsor.

The Open Day was held recently at the college campus in Bausher with a host of activities including cultural, social and entertainment activities to highlight the abilities of the students. Lloyd Maddock, CEO of Ahlibank, said, ''It gives us great pleasure to support this youth oriented annual Open Day event of the CBFS for the fourth consecutive year. Young people are the foundation of this nation and we are delighted and proud to help the students from the banking college to celebrate this day.

As the best bank in Oman for the third year in a row, as rated by OER, we see it as our responsibility to promote young talent and extend all possible support to the educational sector and other youth-oriented activities. Ahlibank's initiatives in supporting such events is in line with the bank's commitment to its national and social responsibilities.'' The bank enjoys an excellent rapport with Oman's premier educational institutions and takes special interest to hire graduates from reputed colleges in the country.

Selected candidates embark upon an extensive and rigorous training program which provides experience across all operations of the bank, for a period of one year. Through CBFS, Ahlibank also provides training for its own employees in different areas of banking and management, in order to groom talent to undertake senior level responsibilities in the future.

As part of its corporate social responsibility, Ahlibank is engaged in many social activities which include donations and sponsorships for the welfare of the youth and the society as a whole. ''We consider that creating a strong business and building a better world are both essential ingredients for long-term success,'' added Maddock.<
