(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Sultanate's leading higher education, training and job exhibition 'Ghedex, Trainex and Jobex 2014' will begin on Tuesday at the Oman International Exhibition Centre (OITE).
This was announced at a press conference held at the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) on Sunday under the auspices of H E Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed al Sarmi, Undersecretary in MoHE in the presence of Nick Hodge, managing director, OITE and Tarek Ali, general manager - exhibitions, OITE.
While Ghedex is being organised by MoHE, Trainex and Jobex are being organised by the Ministry of Manpower.
More than 140 universities and colleges from over 20 countries will provide information about their courses at Ghedex with strong participation from the UK, Malaysia, Ireland, the US and Oman.
Ghedex will provide platform for students seeking quality higher education opportunities and internships.
Meanwhile, several local companies including the Technical and Administrative Training Institute, Al Takween for Educational Services & Development and Modern Gulf Institute along with international firms like Royal Jordanian Air Academy, Mideast Aviation Academy, Airways Aviation, Alpha Aviation Academy and Sri Lankan Airlines will take part in Trainex.
This exhibition will be useful for those looking for employment opportunities. It will also provide opportunities to students, graduates and jobseekers to develop skills for the job market.
Jobex will offer information, consultancy and opportunities for those interested in career development.
Sayyida Dr Muna bint Fahd al Said, assistant vice chancellor for external cooperation, Sultan Qaboos University will inaugurate the exhibition.
The event which will run till Thursday will be open for public from 9.30am to 1.30pm and 5pm to 9pm.
