(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) giers April 20 - Fourteen Algerian army soldiers were killed during clashes with an armed group yesterday in a mountainous area east of the Algerian capital. A security source told Algeria Press Service (APS) that a convoy of the Algerian People's Army returning from a mission related to the presidential elections held last Thursday was attacked at the municipality of Abudrarn in Tizi Ouzou by a group of terrorists who laid an ambush for them. The source explained that 14 members of the army were killed in the attack adding that a wide search operation was started to arrest the attack's perpetrators.
