Oman- Saeed stars in Passage to India's title victory

(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Mohammed Saeed hit 60 and then took three for 33 and snapped up three catches to help Passage to India Restaurant beat Raha CT by 34 runs in the final to clinch the Oman Cricket's (OC) inaugural 30 overs a side Premier Cup at Amerat on Friday.

Opting to bat after winning the toss, Passage to India Restaurant scored at over eight runs per over to pile up 245 for seven in 30 overs.

Joshil Sukani (56) and Ahad Malek (48) chipped in with valuable knocks and gave Man-of-the-Match Saeed good support.

In reply, Raha was batting well, seemingly charging towards the 246-run victory target, but was eventually bowled out for 211 in 29.3 overs.

Zeeshan Ahmad top-scored for Raha with 52, with contributions coming from Mohammed Nadeem (31) and Sultan Ahmed (28).

Alongside Saeed, Passage to India Restaurant skipper Aamir Kaleem (3-39) also struck crucial blows.

Prizes were given away to the winner and runner-up by chief guest Kiran Asher, OC treasurer, in the presence of Madhu Jesrani, OC secretary, Dad al Balushi, board member, and Duleep Mendis, OC's chief development officer.

Brief scores: Passage 245-7 in 30 overs (Saeed 60, Sukani 56; Khalid Rasheed 2-30) beat Raha CT 211 in 29.3 Overs (Ahmad 52, Nadeem 31; Saeed 3-33, Kaleem 3-39).
