Qatar- HMC Applies New Pharmacists Evaluation System /For Local Press/


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) ha April 19 - The Pharmacy Department at Hamad medical Corporation (HMC) has applied a new system to evaluate pharmacists in order to measure the capacity of individuals and provide the highest level of services related to pharmaceuticals. The new system designed as part of a partnership project between the Department of Pharmacology and the Human Resources Department relies on the adoption of the professionalism of pharmacists in accordance with the Canadian standards in order to measure the performance of staff in HMC's pharmacies in accordance with international standards. Executive Director of the Pharmacy Department Dr. Mozah said the new system helps in improving performance detecting weaknesses and developing practical plans to improve employee performance. In a press release she said the system in which state-of-the-art global systems of pharmacists performance assessment are applied is considered more accurate fair inclusive and transparent and contributes to maintaining the spirit of competition and creativity among employees and to focus on the services provided to the patient with the possibility to measure them. Within this framework a workshop with the participation of 50 pharmacy supervisors and managers in HMC to familiarize supervision and management teams with the new system. The training focused on the importance of conducting appropriate assessments for pharmacists depending on the criteria of professionalism and focus on the impact of the profession's practice at both institutional and the individual levels.
