(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) ghdad April 19 - Five soldiers and 8 civilians were injured in a car bomb explosion in the city of Mosul in northern Iraq. A security source said the car parked at Somar neighbourhood in eastern Mosul targeted an army patrol injuring five soldiers and 8 civilians happened to be at the scene of the explosion. In another development unidentified militants opened fire at a checkpoint in Al Harmat neighbourhood in western Mosul injuring one soldier. Meanwhile police said unidentified militants opened fire in the direction of a checkpoint in Al Muthanna neighbourhood in northern Mosul also injuring one soldier.
