(MENAFN) The plan for the USD1.6 billion Bluewaters Island project off the coast of Dubai's Jumeirah Beach Residences is to be redesigned, Arabian Business reported.
The island, being developed by government-owned developer Meraas, is currently split into three zones.
One zone contains the Dubai Eye,the world's tallest Ferris Wheel, and is surrounded by other retail and leisure units. The second zone is planed to have hotels, and the third to be a mixed-use zone mainly containing residential units.
Senior development manager at the project management firm Mirage Leisure & Development said that this plan could change.
