India's Wipro profit up 41 percent in Q1


(MENAFN) Net profit of Wipro, one of India"s biggest outsourcing exporters by sales, rose by over 41 percent in the first quarter of the current year on growing sales and global economic recovery, according to Arab News. Wipro"s net profit was estimated at USD371 million during the quarter, while revenues boosted 22 percent. Billionaire Wipro chairman Azim Premji, India"s richest tech tycoon, said that the company's profit resulted from "the steady improvement in the global economy."
