Three Iraqi Army Members Killed in Diyala


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) ghdad April 17 - Three Iraqi army personnel were killed and 10 others wounded in a suicide bombing in Diyala province northeast Iraq . A security source said that a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt blew himself up among a gathering of volunteers near karh Kush military base in the district of Balad Ruz east of Baquba killing three members of the army and injuring 10 others . The Baghdad Operations Command announced that the explosions heard in Baghdad at dawn today were caused by the detonation of a number of improvised explosive devices in Al-Muthanna airport . The Command's Spokesman Brigadier Saad Maan said security forces uncovered a large cache of weapons and improvised explosive devices in Baghdad and moved its contents to the site of engineering arm in Muthanna airport to dismantle and detonate them. Meanwhile security forces managed to kill 54 of Daash organization or the Islamic State in Syria and the Levant (ISSL) in Fallujah western Iraq . A statement by the Interior Ministry said the first rapid intervention brigade killed 54 Daash terrorists in Saqlawiyah and Aldhabtiyah and near Al Muwazafeen and Al Jadid bridges in Fallujah.
