The volume of the shares traded was up to 37110091 from 35161071 on Wednesday and the value of shares increased to QR 1238380332.58 from QR1138312504.31 its previous close. Ezdan Holding led the gainers today with its share up 10% to QR 31.35 from a traded volume of 1022229 shares. Amal share was up 6.92% to QR 19.Vodafone Qatar saw brisk trading with a volume of 7822896 shares exchanging hands to close at QR16.28 up 5.65%. Among the banking sector International Islamic Bank was up 3.05% to QR 84.50 while Qatar Islamic Bank was up 2.69% to QR 83.90. Qatar National Bank dipped 1.03% to QR 192. The biggest loser today was Qatar Cinema and Film Distribution Company down by 5.58% to QR 40.60. Industries Qatar dropped by 1.10% to QR180. Banking and Financial sector index was up 1.13%. Consumer Goods and Services sector index was up 0.05% while the insurance sector index was up 0.35% and telecommunication sector index was up 1.60%. The real estate sector index dropped 0.5%.
