Starbucks moving its headquarters to Britain

(MENAFN) Starbucks, the coffeehouse company corporation, announced moving its European headquarters from Amsterdam to London by the end of 2014, Xinhua reported. Britain alone has more than half of Starbuck's European stores, with around 7,500 employees. The company declared its plan to open about 100 retail stores, providing 1,000 new jobs across Britain and to employ over 200 people in Amsterdam. "Closer proximity to our biggest market will be critical to our success as we grow our business across Europe and the globe," said the company's new president of the Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Starbucks has more than 19,000 stores around the world, with 2,000 stores in 35 European countries.
