Oman- Aster to open help desks for patients seeking treatment at its India medcity

(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) DM Healthcare Group will open help desks at Aster Al Raffah hospitals across the sultanate for patients seeking treatment at its new medical city in Kerala, India.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, Dr Harish Pillai, chief executive officer of Aster Medcity said, ''These help desks will provide information to Omani patients about the services being offered at Aster Medcity in Kochi, Kerala. The medcity will offer world-class facilities and patients can later continue the treatment with Aster group hospitals in the sultanate.

''The first phase of the project with 575 beds is already over. It will start receiving patients from next month. In the second phase, another 500 beds will be added along with a convention centre, a four-star hotel and apartment complexes.''

Seeniya Biju, chief operating officer, Aster Oman, said, ''Several super-specialty doctors will also be available at the medcity.

The medcity plans to have tie-ups with Johns Hopkins Medical International, US and The Hospital for Sick Children, University of Toronto, Canada.<
