(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) ha April 16 - Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend on Wednesday adding 131.97 points (1.07%) to advance to 12453.86 points from 12321.89 on Tuesday. The volume of the shares traded up to 35161071 from 26075713 on Tuesday and the value of shares increased to QR1138312504.31 from QR944859059.85 Tuesday. Among the top gainers were Qatar Islamic Bank which was up 4.74% to QR81.70 International Islamic Bank gained 3.80% to QR82.00 Vodafone Qatar added 9.99% to QR15.41 and Masraf Al Rayan up by 3.12% to QR44.60. The Banking and Financial sector index was added 1.35 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index up 0.73 points. The industrial sector was lost 0.52 points while insurance sector gained 1.14 points.
