Dubai Metro passengers hit 40.5m in Q1


(MENAFN) Passenger traffic on Dubai's Metro increased to more than 40.5 million in the January-March period of this year, Arabian Business repoted. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said that traffic during that first quarter increased from 33.3 million in the same period a year before. Passengers using the Red Line and Green Line hit 26.1 million and 14.5 million, respectively, in the three-month period. Acting CEO of RTA Rail Agency said: "The number of the metro riders during the first three months of this year constitute a solid indicator that the Dubai Metro has become one of the prime transit means commanding the attention of the Dubai residents, visitors and tourists""
