Israel Reopens Karam Abu Salem Crossing in Gaza


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) za April 16 - Israeli occupation forces reopened today the Karam Abu Salem crossing in southern Gaza Strip after a two-day closure under the pretext of Jewish holidays. Coordinating Committee of Gaza's Supplies said that the occupation forces will reopen the Karam Abu Salem crossing as usual noting that 300 trucks carrying aids and goods for the commercial and agricultural sectors are scheduled to enter. The Committee said that the occupation forces will allow the entry of nine trucks loaded with cement one truck loaded with construction iron 38 trucks loaded with gravel for UNRWA projects. Quantities of industrial diesel for Gaza power plant transportation fuel and cooking gas will also be pumped. Israel closed the Karam Abu Salem commercial crossing in southeast of Gaza Strip on Monday under the pretext of the Jewish holidays. Karam Abu Salem is the only commercial crossing through which goods and fuel enter the Gaza Strip and the occupation authorities close it on Friday and Saturday of each week
