(MENAFN Press) Omnix International, the MENA region's leading provider of computer aided engineering solutions, successfully hosted an Autodesk event targeting local CAD, BIM and IT managers at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The dynamic one-day event, which was held under the theme, 'Advanced look at your options: What you need to know in the 2014 version of Autodesk licenses,' gave attendees closer insight on their Autodesk subscriptions, how to deal with common issues and tips on maximizing software performance. The top 50 IT and CAD managers attended the event--representing leading companies like Otac, Oger, Mott Mc Donald, etc

During the activity, Autodesk and Omnix representatives discussed exciting new topics like the benefits and advantages to be gained from their Autodesk subscription. Participants were also presented with the latest updates on Autodesk 360, which has expanded software capabilities beyond the desktop with powerful cloud-based services that help streamline workflows and unlock new ways to innovate. Also presented was Autodesk's BIM 360 Glue, a cloud-based software combines cloud and mobile technologies to manage your data from preconstruction to the field--improving construction collaboration to prevent issues and drive higher quality and profitability. Speakers also shared trouble shooting techniques and tips for Autocad and Revit users and discussed key points on the Autodesk Network License.

"We are very pleased with the success and the strong response that we have received from this specially hosted event for local CAD, BIM and IT managers. The event proves to be both timely and strategic as the UAE has witnessed a surge in projects over the last few months, resulting in customers looking to drive massive gains in productivity through reduced errors, rework and cost. With local AEC firms looking towards improving just about every aspect of the design and construction process, this event served as a platform to introduce and show how Autodesk's diverse range of design solutions like Revit and BIM can be made available anywhere, anytime. The activity also allowed us to share some key tips and techniques for users to address various issues and improve software performance," concluded Sajan Sadiq “ Marketing Manager, CAE Division, Omnix International.
